Major Responsibility


  • Build a tool for in-depth financial assessments and technical feasibility studies for evaluating business cases for adoption, funding, and resource alignment to major projects across multiple functions to achieve margin & profitability targets. A primary focus will be on projects supporting manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial operations.
  • Conduct project management ideation sessions in support of developing a multi-year funnel for year over year margin improvement and profitability.
  • Serve as a project manager with financial analysis experience to lead projects that analyzes financial data and projects financial condition based on past performance and present earnings; reviews proposals and prepares analysis of feasibility and profitability. Responsible for the coordination of multiple projects, from beginning to end, with accountability for program execution.
  • Define the business results expected from a project related to delivering GMI opportunities.
  • Coordinates resource requirements, cost and time schedules and participate in the funding process.
  • Manage/direct the activities and people associated with small to large scale projects with a focus on any or several non-IT business applications and disciplines to augment staff shortages due to other business priorities.
  • Manage/direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the Full Project Life Cycle. Collaborate/work with project sponsors, business units and users to identify project scope and focus, develop or monitor project initiatives, implement project requirements/plans/processes/tools, assign/guide/monitor project staff, and assure project success.
  • Deliver quality project solutions to business problems or issues within defined budgets and/or timelines that result in measurable cost savings.
  • Provide expert project guidance/support proactively through project completion for other project managers within different functions, with a primary focus on manufacturing operations. Provide tracking, reporting, and presentation to management and users, as needed.
  • Develop an implementation plan, conduct risk assessments, and develop and implement contingency plans to allow for and accommodate unforeseen events and changes in strategy.
  • Demonstrate stewardship and provide leadership to meet Division strategies and business objectives while delivering on GMI objectives.
  • Maintain monthly IDDM tracking system of ideation and validation efforts for current year reporting.
  • Work with finance organization monthly for tracking and reporting of executed and completed IDDM efforts for senior level reviews.
  • Provide reports for monthly IDDM MOS and financial reviews based upon GMI project tracking efforts.
  • Deliver project excellence by incorporating best practices in project Coordination to meet and or exceed customer needs.
  • Assure project requirements are met.
  • Assist in idea capture and cataloging activities of new ideas.
  • Participate in identifying project resource needs.
  • Participate on GMI initiatives to identify process improvements to accelerate projects.
  • Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, project staff and internal and external experts as required.
  • Prepare and present to internal audiences.
  • Collaborate with Program Lead for the development of Senior Leadership Team communications/presentations. 
  • Ensure project scope and success criteria are clearly established.
  • Initiate, lead and communicate project assessments and lessons learned
  • Participate in the development and implementation of GMI ideas
  • Work directly with functional area Managers to resolve issues that impact completion of project objectives: determine when to escalate issues to appropriate levels of Management.
  • Represent IDDM in Cost Leadership driven opportunities to ensure IDDM insights are understood and communicated in development and execution of efforts
  • Conduct program meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the program within and beyond the project team.
  • Facilitates workshops and kaizen events for complex initiatives, ideation sessions, and projects
  • Identify and, if needed, design value stream and project metrics and key performance indicators (qualitative and quantitative) to measure improvement success.




  • Bachelor's degree – Operations, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience
  • This job will require travel to the manufacturing facilities in Maine


Preferred Background

  • Relevant experience, including business experience in supply chain areas such as manufacturing, engineering, procurement, RA, QA or logistics.
  • Lean trained at minimum, certified preferred
  • Six Sigma trained at minimum, certified preferred
  • Project management trained at minimum, certified preferred
  • Strategic, conceptual analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Critical thinking/problem-solving skills method.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading teams.
  • Ability to negotiate consensus among diverse groups and influence the activities of others not in own reporting structure.
  • Strong written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior Management.
  • Technical background sufficient to understand issues involved with the project.
  • Knowledge of the strategic and operational context of the projects.
  • Personal integrity and courage to escalate issues about the project and to advocate for responsible solutions to Management.
  • Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to Manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in project leadership roles.
