  Job Description

  • Working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
  • Researching, writing, and editing IT related content
  • Independently gathering information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, process documentation, and business requirements
  • Working with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy data migration
  • Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive
  • voice across all documentation
  • Commitment to digital accessibility, a working knowledge of WCAG 2.0 AA standards, and best practices in the use of plain language



  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience as a technical writer
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.0 AA standards
  • Experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
  • Experience researching and producing business requirements
  • Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content
  • and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, can be technical, journalism, communication
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
  • Firm understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Previous software development documentation experience
  • Proficient with the Google suite – Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Forms – as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
  • and related software
  • Fluency in HTML-editing tools and Content Management Systems. Sitefinity experience a plus
  • A can-do attitude, willingness to work as a team, and good sense of humor
