Automation Engineer in US-Remote

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work collaboratively with the development/engineering teams to build/test/deploy pipelines and operate our infrastructure and platforms
• Automate the deployment of day zero Infrastructure configurations such as Windows/Linux on virtual platforms.
• Understand the differences and commonality in technical requirements, end-user needs, and security and compliance requirements of each environment
• Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance and reliability
• Develop and deliver creative solutions that enable engineering teams
• Build common tools and procedures to streamline and standardize development and deployment
• Design, write and document scripted functionality to increase availability, scalability, efficiency and repeatability

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• experience in infrastructure administration, DevOps, development, or similar role
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language (Python, Node js, JavaScript is an advantage)
• Understanding of vRealize Orchestrator
• Strong understanding of API connectivity
• Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure components (Linux\Windows servers, network devices is an advantage)
• Strong organization skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
