  Job Description

Accountant 

  • Support the day to day accounting operations in a shared services environment,ensuring effective and efficient delivery of shared service activities, and in accordance with agreed service levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journalentries, account balance reconciliations, and record intercompany transactions.
  • Perform intercompany analysis and support variance clearing.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, Clientt Corporate and division/department specific policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and other accounting colleagues, as well as 3rd party service providers to execute the financial close, provide guidance, and work together to improve processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities in support of continuous improvement and simplification.
  • Operate independently, be flexible in an environment with evolving and changing business processes.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives related to new processes/implementations as needed.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for assigned activities.
  • Complete external and internal audit requests, SOX requests, tax requests as well as ad-hoc requests from other parts of the organization.
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management.

Required Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and/or Business, preferred.
  • Candidate currently working on accounting degree with accounting job experience would be considered.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting with positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Prior experience in a large company Shared Services environment or cross-division business unit model preferred.
  • Experience with working in large ERP system, SAP preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including use of pivot tables and vlooklups.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
