Building Inclusive Workplaces: A Focus on Autism & Employment
Welcome to Week 3 of Autism Acceptance Month!

This week, we’re focusing on autism and employment—an area where real inclusion is still far from a reality. Despite the wide range of talents and perspectives autistic individuals bring to the workforce, only 30% are currently employed in any type of job. This stark number highlights the ongoing need to address workplace barriers and reimagine hiring, onboarding, and support systems.

Creating truly inclusive workplaces requires more than good intentions—it requires accessible practices, thoughtful mentorship, and a willingness to adapt. When we design environments with neurodivergent talent in mind, we make work better for everyone.
